BEAT ME! is a casual game for players aged 13 and over. The game has no accounts of its own and never asks for your email, phone number or contacts. To keep the game free it shows ads from Google AdMob, and it offers optional online leaderboards through Google Play Games. Both are described below.
You can choose a nickname and an avatar. These, your settings, your scores, level stars, XP and badges stay in the app's private storage on your device. They are never sent to us. The nickname appears only in challenges you choose to share. Everything is removed when you uninstall the game.
The game shows ads between rounds and an optional ad you can choose to watch to unlock a level. These ads come from Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location based on that IP address, and how you interact with ads. Google handles this under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or another region where consent is required, the game shows Google's consent form before any ads load, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings, under Ad privacy choices. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings. The games themselves work without an internet connection; ads simply don't appear offline.
Leaderboards are optional. If you sign in with Google Play Games, Google provides your Play Games profile (gamer name, avatar and player ID) to the game and shows your name on the leaderboards, and the game sends your best scores to Google so they can be ranked. Google handles this data under its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage your Play Games profile and visibility in the Google Play Games app. If you never sign in, no scores leave your device.
When you tap Share Challenge, your phone's share menu opens. You choose the app (for example WhatsApp) and decide whether to send. The game shares only your score message, your nickname if you set one, and the score card image. What happens next is controlled by the app you choose and its own privacy policy. The game never sends messages for you.
Vibration, for short haptic feedback (you can turn it off in Settings). Google's ads and Play Games libraries also use internet access, network state, the advertising ID permission and related system permissions so ads and leaderboards can load.
The game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update it in the game and on the Google Play listing before the change takes effect.
You can reach the developer through the contact details on the BEAT ME! Google Play listing.
